About The Travel Speakeasy

The Travel Speakeasy was created for travelers who want more than sightseeing.

I don’t design trips around “top ten” lists or viral landmarks. I begin with questions:
What shaped this place?
Where does daily life still unfold naturally?
How can you move through it with intention rather than urgency?

For me, thoughtful travel begins with walkable neighborhoods, intelligent routing, cultural context, and immersive detail. It means understanding why a dish exists, how a square evolved, who influenced the architecture, and what traditions still endure.

The idea for my scavenger hunts began on a family trip across Europe. I realized that even the most beautiful cities can blur together when experienced passively. So I designed interactive prompts — subtle games that sharpen attention and transform observation into participation. When you are looking for something, you see more. When you understand context, you remember more.

The Travel Speakeasy is built on that philosophy:
Curated, self-guided itineraries and immersive scavenger hunts designed to help you travel intelligently, confidently, and deeply — without the rigidity of a bus tour or the overwhelm of planning from scratch.

You can design it yourself.
Or you can step into something already mapped with care.

Either way, the goal is the same:

To choose well.
To move with intention.
To be invited in — not simply pass through.
